Lehigh Heads To Navy Spring Invitational In Final Tournament Before PLC

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – With the start of the Patriot League Championship not just a week away, Lehigh heads to Annapolis, Md., for the Navy Spring Invitational beginning Saturday at the Naval Academy Golf Club. The 36-hole tournament will feature 18 holes each day with action beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The course at the Naval Academy Golf Club plays 6,084 yards to a par 72. Participating teams include Bucknell, Columbia, Dartmouth, La Salle, Lehigh, Mount St. Mary's, Navy, Penn, Quinnipiac and Wagner
Lehigh is coming off an eighth place finish at last weekend's Rutgers Invitational. Junior Madison Pineda was the top finisher, tying for 18th place an earning Patriot League honorable mention recognition. Senior Venecia Zaia delivered the low round for Lehigh with a final round 71.
Seven Mountain Hawks are expected to compete at Navy with Pineda and Zaia joined by sophomore Yuki Zhu and first-years Stefania Fedun and Olivia Lu on Lehigh's scoring team and first-year Bella Scanapicco and junior Sophie Chang competing as individuals.
Lehigh will play in Navy's spring tournament for the first time since 2019. The Mountain Hawks have played in Navy's Fall Invitational in each of the prior two seasons.
