The win improves Lehigh's record to 5-3 overall and 2-1 in the Patriot League.
It was the defense and running game once again leading the way for the Mountain Hawks as Lehigh limited Georgetown to 262 yards. Lehigh gained 385, including 310 on the ground; the Mountain Hawks' fourth straight game of 200 or more rushing yards.

Graduate student linebacker Mike DeNucci led the defensive effort with eight tackles, including two for loss, and a sack that forced a turnover on downs in the first quarter. Lehigh had three more interceptions, highlighted by a 62-yard pick-six by senior Jordan Adderley, that put Lehigh up 31-0 in the third quarter.
After a scoreless first quarter, Lehigh took control early in the second as junior Nick Peltekian picked off Danny Lauter and raced 49 yards to the Georgetown 1-yard line. On the next play, first-year quarterback Hayden Johnson scored on a keeper to give the Mountain Hawks a 7-0 lead.
Lehigh's defense answered with a three-and-out and on the Mountain Hawks' next drive, Johnson ran 34 yards into Georgetown territory, setting up a 24-yard touchdown rush by first-year Jaden Green.
On the third play of Lehigh's next possession, Green took a handoff and ran untouched for a 57-yard score, with Lehigh's longest play from scrimmage this season, to give the Mountain Hawks a 21-0 lead.

A 29-yard field goal by junior Nick Garrido gave Lehigh a 24-0 lead at halftime.
A surprise onside kick, recovered by the Mountain Hawks gave Lehigh the ball to start the third quarter. The Mountain Hawks were unable to capitalize and after Georgetown got the ball back, the Hoyas drove into Lehigh territory, but Adderley stepped in front of a deflected Lauter pass and raced 62-yards down the far sideline for the score.

Georgetown (5-4, 2-2 PL) spoiled the shutout bid on a five-yard pass from Lauter to tight end Max McCormick with 6:34 to play.
Lehigh added one final score on a 20-yard touchdown run by sophomore Connor Hilling with just over four minutes remaining.
Green carried eight times for 88 yards and two touchdowns as one of five Mountain Hawks to rush for more than 30 yards. Johnson added 83 on eight attempts and completed 4-of-8 passes for 75 yards.
