BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh women's cross country will head west to Penn State University on Friday for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional. The Mountain Hawks will race at 12 p.m.

The Mountain Hawks last competed at the Patriot League championship at Lafayette College. Lehigh placed fifth as a team, scoring 143 points on the day.

Maddison Hayes was Lehigh's top finisher, placing 19th overall with a time of 21:30.3. She has led the Mountain Hawks on four occasions this year.

Rounding out the top five for Lehigh at the PLC was first-year Kaitlyn Highduch (25th, 21:39.7), junior Lucy Afanasewicz (31st, 21:51.2), sophomore Hope Trimmer (40th, 22:05.6) and sophomore Grace Hughes (43rd, 22:11.7).

Following the Mid-Atlantic Regional, Lehigh's next competition would be the NCAA National Championship in Madison, Wisconsin should the team or any individuals qualify.
