Army Earns 1-0 Win Over Lehigh On Saturday

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Army (9-3, 3-1 PL) struck early in the first half to defeat Lehigh 1-0 on Saturday in West Point, N.Y.

Army's Grace Edvalds got the Black Knights on the board in the 11th minute off an assist from Brigid Duffy.

In the 68th minute, junior Sophia Lis had a chance to even the score but her shot from range connected with Army goalkeeper Sage Strohman and the crossbar.

First-year Esther Brossard led Lehigh with two shots, while Taylor Latini, Cyndea Labissiere and Lis each added one apiece.

Junior goalkeeper Maggie Ousoujoglou recorded seven saves while Strohman made two.

Lehigh (1-7-4, 0-4 PL) returns home to the Ulrich Sports Complex on Saturday, October 12 to host Holy Cross at 2 p.m. The game will be the program's Senior Day celebration.
