Baruwa Scores Game-Winner In 2-1 Win Over Loyola

BALTIMORE - Sophomore Aminah Baruwa netted the game-winner in Lehigh's 2-1 win over Loyola on Saturday.

Lehigh got out on an early 1-0 lead in the 12th minute, as sophomore Macy McCallum put a shot on cage and a Loyola defender headed the ball into the back of the net.

Loyola responded with the game-tying goal in the 14th minute, holding the teams knotted at 1-1 heading into the second half.

In the 70th minute, Baruwa scored the game-winner off an assist from senior Hope Flanegin. Baruwa finished the afternoon with two shots.

The Greyhounds outshot Lehigh 18-4 and outcornered the Mountain Hawks 16-3.

Lehigh (3-8-5, 2-5-1 PL) plays at Bucknell on Wednesday at 7 p.m. to close out the regular season.
