
Lehigh Lands 2-2 Draw With Colgate

HAMILTON, N.Y. - For the second consecutive game, sophomore Cyndea Labissiere tallied a goal for the Mountain Hawks as Lehigh battled Colgate to a 2-2 draw on Wednesday evening.
Labissiere currently leads Lehigh with three goals and one assist, compiling seven points.
In the 29th minute, Labissiere scored a bar-down goal as Lehigh took an early 1-0 lead. The Raiders responded within two minutes as Ari Bezanson netted the equalizer, knotting the game at 1-1 for the remainder of the first half.
The game remained knotted until the 85th minute when Colgate capitalized on a corner, taking a 2-1 lead with just under five minutes remaining in the contest. Lehigh responded almost immediately and senior Hope Flanegin tied it up at 2-2 as the Mountain Hawks held on to secure a point in Patriot League play. Flanegin also found the scoresheet for the second straight game.
Goalkeeper Maggie Ousoujoglou recorded seven saves while Colgate's starter Ella Poppinga made one. Poppinga was relieved in the second half by Alli Popham who made two saves.
The Raiders outshot Lehigh 22-8, while shots on goal also favored Colgate 9-5.
Lehigh (2-7-5, 1-4-1 PL) welcomes American to the Ulrich Sports Complex on Sunday at 2 p.m. The match is Lehigh's Pride Day presented by Lehigh's Pride Center and Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity.
