Mountain Hawks Back in Action At Villanova's Wildcat Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's golf team has two tournaments remaining before the Patriot League Championship at the end of April. The Mountain Hawks will be back in action at Villanova's Wildcat Invitational, set for Monday and Tuesday at LuLu Country Club in Glenside, Pa.
 
The Mountain Hawks are coming off a fifth place finish out of 13 teams at the Columbia Spring Invitational, April 3 in Springfield, Pa. Senior David Hurly tied for fifth place to lead the Mountain Hawks. Hurly was named Patriot League Golfer of the Week for his efforts as the top-finishing non-Ivy League player in a field that also included Patriot League foes Lafayette and Navy.
 
The field includes host Villanova plus Binghamton, Bucknell, Colgate, Hofstra, Holy Cross, Iona, Lafayette, La Salle, Lehigh, North Carolina Central, Rider, St. John's, Rhode Island, Wagner and William & Mary. Individuals from Drexel will also be competing in the competition, but the Dragons will not be in the team event.
 
LuLu Country Club plays to at 6,484 yards to a par 71.
 
The opening day of the event begins at 8:30 a.m. from the first and tenth tees, while day two has a listed start time of 8:00 a.m.
 
Live scoring will be available on GolfStat and Villanova will offer live streaming on College Golf Network, with the first round at this link while the second round will be here.
 
Last year Lehigh finished 12th out of 15 teams at the Wildcat Invitational, when it was held at Radnor Valley Country Club. Hurly led the way for Lehigh, tying for sixth with a total 144 that included an opening round 67. Daniel Song, Sam Barton, Edmund Broderick and Aidan Oehrle all also played in the event last year.
 
Following the Wildcat Invitational, Lehigh will play in Lafayette's Abarta Coca-Cola Invitational, April 16-17 at the Steel Club in Hellertown, Pa.
