Mountain Hawks to Continue Spring Slate at Kingsmill Intercollegiate

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Coming off a team championship at the SMSU Spring Classic, the Lehigh women's golf team will be back on the course early next week at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate, hosted by William & Mary, Monday-Tuesday on the River Course at the Kingsmill Resort.

Lehigh is one of 18 teams competing in the two-day. 54-hole event that includes 36 holes Monday beginning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start and 18 holes on Tuesday.

The River Course will play at 6,057 yards to a par 72. Participating teams include Boston University, Georgetown, Hartford, High Point, Hofstra, Longwood, Loyola Chicago, Monmouth, Mount St. Mary's, Penn, Quinnipiac, Radford, Sacred Heart, St. John's, Toledo, Towson along with Lehigh and hosts William & Mary.

The Kingsmill Intercollegiate has long been a regular stop on Lehigh's spring schedule. Last year Lehigh finished 10th out of 14 teams. Madison Pineda tied for ninth place to lead Lehigh's contingent last March.

Last time out, Lehigh cruised to the SMSU Spring Classic team title with a final score of 614, posting a 22-stroke victory over Bucknell.

Four Mountain Hawks finished in the top 10 individually, led by first-year Yuki Zhu, who finished second overall and was subsequently recognized as the Patriot League Golfer of the Week.

Lehigh's contingent will include Zhu, Pineda, first-year Evelyn Wong, junior Meghna Grover and senior Hannah Foster.
