Parolin Selected to the Patriot League Academic All-League Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa.  – Lehigh men's basketball junior Dominic Parolin has been named to the 2022-23 Academic All-Patriot League team, announced by the league on Wednesday afternoon.
To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and be a starter or key player in their sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor. The Mountain Hawks earned this honor for back-to-back years with senior Evan Taylor landing on the academic all-league team last year. Before that, Jordan Cohen was named to the team for three straight seasons ending in 2019-20.
Parolin is a mathematics major with a 3.80 GPA and is a two-time honoree on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll as well as the recipient of the Mountain Hawks' Scholar-Athlete of the Year for 2021-22. Last week, Parolin was also named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.
He's made 11 starts and played in all 29 games, averaging 7.9 points per game and 3.7 rebounds per outing. In Patriot League action, Parolin is scoring at a clip of 9.3 points and bringing down 4.8 boards against league competition with a field goal percentage of 64.4 percent.
Parolin is joined by junior Johnny O'Neill (American), graduate student Jonas Harper (Boston University), sophomore C.J. Fulton (Lafayette) and the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year, senior Tucker Richardson (Colgate).
Up next, the three-seed Mountain Hawks will host a Patriot League quarterfinal game against the six-seed, rival Lafayette. The game will take place on Thursday, March 2 at 7 p.m. inside Stabler Arena.
