
Coprivnicar Moves to Seventh All-Time in the Heptathlon as Track and Field Wraps Up 2023 Competition

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Highlighted by junior Gideon Coprivnicar moving to seventh all-time in the heptathlon, the Lehigh track and Field team wrapped up 2023 competition with Fast Times Before Finals, Friday and Saturday at Rauch Fieldhouse.
"I think the athletes continue to do a great job with making small adjustments over time and helping each other make those adjustments and hold them accountable to the standard," said head coach Khayla Atte.
MULTIS
Coprivnicar earned first place and garnered seventh all-time in the heptathlon with 4,742 points. Coprivnicar finished first in the pole vault (4.27m), second in the shot put (11.06m), second in the high jump (1.88m), third in the 60m hurdles (8.60m), third in the long jump (6.23m), fourth in the 1000m (3:00.74) and sixth in the 60m (7.45)
JUMPS
Junior Skyler Mott won the high jump with 1.98m. In the triple jump, Mott earned fifth place with a jump of 13.42m.
In pole vault, first-year Eli Johnson placed fifth with a PR and junior Jack Murphy placed sixth after both cleared 4.15m.
THROWS
Juniors Liam Lovering and Ethan McHugh placed second and third in the weight throw with 16.81m and 14.39m, respectively. On Saturday, Lovering took second in the shot put with 15.46m and sophomore Joe Nowakowski took third with a PR of 15.16m.
SPRINTS/HURDLES
After claiming fifth all-time in the 60m hurdles last weekend, senior Daniel Stipanov took second with 8.26.
First-years Eddie Moore and David Sedrak took sixth and eighth in the 200m with 23.42 and 23.49, respectively.
Lehigh earned the top two finishes in the 500m, with junior Patrez Thomas earning first with 1:07.87 and first-year Logan Haverkamp close behind in second with 1:07.92.
MID-DISTANCE
The Mountain Hawks took the top four spots in the 4x800 with the A squad of Ethan Hood, Henry Burd, Dylan Cunningham and Alex Heidemann earning first with 7:59.96.
Lehigh has a break from competition until the new year, opening 2024 with the Wagner College Invitational on January 5 at Ocean Breeze in Staten Island, N.Y.
