Lehigh Returns To Stabler Arena To Host Saint Francis

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's basketball returns to Stabler Arena after a two-game hiatus to welcome the Saint Francis Red Flash on Wednesday. The game will be Lehigh's second to last home contest before the Patriot League season begins in January.
Wednesday's game between Lehigh and Saint Francis will be 20th all-time meeting between the two schools and third meeting in as many years. Lehigh holds a 12-7 advantage in the all-time series between the Mountain Hawks and Red Flash dating all the way back to the 1969-70 season. Lehigh won the most recent matchup by a score of 82-76 last year in Loretto. Lehigh head coach Dr. Brett Reed has faced Saint Francis 15 times during his career, posting an impressive 11-4 record against the Red Flash.
Lehigh (1-5) last played on the road at Providence on Black Friday, falling to the Friars by a score of 78-64. Senior Dominic Parolin was key offensively for the Mountain Hawks, as his career-high 18 points led the way for Lehigh. Junior Keith Higgins Jr. and senior Jalin Sinclair also tallied double-digit points, scoring 16 and 10 respectively. Higgins led Lehigh and tied his career-high of eight rebounds while Sinclair dished out a season-high six assists.
Saint Francis (2-5) enters Wednesday's matchup off the heels of a 69-61 loss at home to Niagara. The Red Flash opened the 2023-24 campaign with a trip to California to take on UCLA, San Francisco and Santa Clara. The two wins on the season for the Red Flash came against Pittsburgh at Greensburg (11/20) and Franciscan (11/22). Saint Francis' leading scorer is sophomore Cam Gregory who currently averages 11.9 points per game. Freshman Eli Wilborn leads the team with a 4.9 rebounding average while both Gregory and sophomore Chris Moncrief both average a team-best 1.7 assists per game. Red Flash head coach Rob Krimmel enters the matchup needing only one more win to reach 150 for his career.
