Lehigh Set to Compete at 48th Annual Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Coming off of a convincing 17-40 victory over Lafayette two weeks ago, the Lehigh men's cross country team will return to the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course for the 48th annual Paul Short Run. Competition will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday with the men's open 8k.
Last time out, the Mountain Hawks secured their 23rd consecutive victory over the Leopards at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course. Seniors Connor Melko and Tyler French led the team with first and second-place finishes, respectively. The duo both finished with times of 25:37.20.
Sophomores Aidan Lynch and Kevin Harvey followed suit, finishing third and fourth, respectively. Lynch finished with a time of 25:44.00 while Harvey finished with a time of 25:46.80.
The Leopards had two student-athletes finish fifth and sixth while Lehigh's Ethan Davis (25:54.50) finished seventh overall. The Mountain Hawks had senior Riley Williamson (26:31.10) finish ninth and graduate-student Nick Wilson (26:32.30) finished ninth and tenth, respectively, to secure the win over Lafayette.
At last year's Paul Short Run, Lehigh finished 26th overall with Melko being a top-finisher for the Mountain Hawks. The senior finished 129th overall with a time of 25:00.5. Finishing close behind Melko was French and Wilson. French was the second-finisher for the Mountain Hawks with a time of 25:07.03 while Wilson finished third for Lehigh with a time of 25:14.3.
The 48th annual Paul Short Run will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the men's open 8k. The Mountain Hawks will kick off the annual event at 11 a.m. with the men's gold 8k. The live results link can be found above.
