Cannon Delivers Game One Winner As Lehigh Splits Two Extra-Inning Games With Bucknell

Junior Addie Kittel and freshman Amanda Greaney each had three hits on the day to lead Lehigh, with Greaney driving in three of Lehigh's four runs in game two.
The Mountain Hawks are now 8-14 overall and 6-8 in the league, while the Bison are now 11-10 overall and 8-6 in league play.

In game one, Bucknell took a 1-0 lead three batters into the game as Taylor Wolfgang singled home Nicole Rivait.
Lehigh pulled even in the home third as Kittel led off with a double to left and scored on a ground out by junior Carley Barjaktarovich.
In the circle, junior Gabriella Nori navigated trouble in the fifth and seventh innings to keep the game tied. Lehigh also left a runner at third in the fifth and two on base in the seventh against Kaiya Burton.
Bucknell took a 2-1 lead in the eight on a Sarah Baluch two-out double followed by a single and an error that allowed the go-ahead run to score.
Barjaktarovich led off the home eighth with a single, moved to second on a sacrifice and scored the tying run on a double to left center by junior Jaelynn Chesson. Cannon followed Chesson with a double to right center, bringing Chesson home with the winning run.

Nori allowed two runs (one earned) on eight hits in eight innings. She struck out seven and walked one to improve to 4-5 on the season.
Both teams had eight hits in the opener with Kittel having the lone multi-hit game for the Mountain Hawks.
Bucknell again scored first in game two, with back-to-back one out singles in the second inning and a run scoring on a throwing error by freshman Katelyn Young on a Kailyn Lorberter sacrifice bunt attempt.
Greaney pulled Lehigh even in the bottom of the second with her first career home run, a line drive over the left field fence.
Lehigh took its first lead of game two as Greaney singled home two runs in her next at bat to give the Mountain Hawks a 3-1 lead after four.
The Bison regained the lead at 4-3 as Zoie Smith drilled a three-run home run to right center in the fifth inning. The Mountain Hawks answered almost immediately as sophomore Emily Cimino tripled leading off the bottom of the fifth and scored on a sacrifice fly by Chesson.
A leadoff walk came back to bite the Mountain Hawks in the eighth inning as Jess Hom laced a one-out double down the left field line, scoring Tara Baglivo with the go-ahead run. After threatening in the sixth and seventh, Lehigh was turned aside in order in the eighth.
Young allowed five runs (four earned) on nine hits in 7.1 innings. She struck out seven and walked six. Lehigh had eight hits with, Greaney going 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
The Lehigh-Bucknell series shifts to Lewisburg Sunday for a doubleheader at Becker Field beginning at 1 p.m.
