Slavin Recognized as Academic All-Patriot League

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Owning a stellar grade point average, coupled with a strong performance on the cross country course, has led to graduate student Seth Slavin being named Academic All-Patriot League for the second time in his career, as announced on Monday. Slavin was one of seven men's cross country student-athletes recognized from around the league.

Slavin owns a 4.0 cumulative GPA in the mechanical engineering master's program. He finished his undergraduate career with a 3.96 in electrical engineering. Slavin was named Academic All-Patriot League in cross country in 2019, and was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District team for track and field in May of 2019. He was a member of the Dean's List every semester, while garnering USTFCCCA All-Academic team recognition as well. Slavin has also been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and garnered the Faculty Athletics Council Award every semester for semester GPAs of 3.2+.

Athletically, Slavin was Lehigh's top finisher at the 2021 Patriot League Championship, finishing 20th overall with a time of 25:50.0. He placed 32nd overall at the Princeton Invitational (Lehigh's second finisher) and was second overall in Lehigh's head-to-head dual meet at Lafayette. Slavin placed 10th overall (third at Lehigh) in the season-opening Lehigh Invitational.

The Mountain Hawks return to the home course for a final time this season as they host the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional this Friday on the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course. The men's 10K is set for 1 p.m.
