Mountain Hawks Set For Quinnipiac Classic Beginning Monday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's golf team is headed to Connecticut over pacing break to play in the Quinnipiac Classic, Monday and Tuesday at The Farms Country Club in Wallingford, Conn.
This is the third of four fall tournaments for the Mountain Hawks, who finished second at the Bucknell Invitational and last weekend claimed eighth place in a 13-team field at the Navy Fall Invitational.
Freshman Madison Pineda has led Lehigh in each of its first two tournaments this fall. Pineda tied for 11th place at Bucknell and finished in a tie for fifth at Navy. She will play in the top position in Lehigh's lineup, along with sophomore Sophie Holland, junior Hannah Foster, freshman Mia Scarpati and junior Iris Shin.
The Quinnipiac Classic features 11 teams playing the par-72, 6,110-yard course at The Farms Country Club. Lehigh and host Quinnipiac will be joined by Fairfield, Hofstra, Holy Cross, LIU, Merrimack, Monmouth, Sacred Heart, Siena and St. John's.
Action at the Quinnipiac Classic begins at 8 a.m. both Monday and Tuesday. Live scoring will be available at GolfStat.com
Following the Quinnipiac Classic, Lehigh will host the Lehigh Invitational, Oct. 25-26 on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.
