BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh field hockey team returns home this weekend following three straight on the road when it hosts Saint Louis on Friday (3 p.m.) and Boston University on Saturday (11 a.m.). Saturday's Senior Day contest can be seen live on the Patriot League Network, while live stats will be available on both days.

On Friday, Lehigh will be vying for its sixth win of the season, which would mark the program's most since 2016, which was senior Amanda Boyer's rookie campaign, along with head coach Caitlin Dallmeyer's first season on the Lehigh sidelines. It would also double the Mountain Hawks' win total from last year.

The Mountain Hawks are coming off a one-goal defeat at La Salle, their fourth one-goal loss of the season and second 3-2 road defeat in as many Sundays. Lehigh fell into an early 2-0 hole just 3:32 into the contest, fought back to within 2-1 and later 3-2, but couldn't net the equalizer. The goals were scored by junior Drew Pecora, her 12th of the season to pull within one of the program's single-season record, and Boyer.

Saint Louis enters its final weekend of the season 0-15, also playing at Saint Francis (Pa.) on Sunday. Most recently, the Billikens dropped a 4-0 final vs. Lock Haven, a common opponent for the Mountain Hawks. Saint Louis has scored eight goals on the season, three by Emily Wastell who leads the team in goals and points (6). Sasha Sander has played every minute in goal, tallying a 3.40 goals against average and 61.1 save percentage. Saint Louis is the third Atlantic 10 opponent on Lehigh's schedule, all coming this month, along with Lock Haven and La Salle.

Friday will mark the first-ever meeting between Lehigh and Saint Louis.

Saturday will be Senior Day as Boyer, the Mountain Hawks' lone senior, will be recognized prior to the 11 a.m. gametime.

Defending league champion Boston University has struggled this season, standing 6-10 on the year and 2-3 in league play. With a win on Saturday, chances are strong the Terriers would qualify for the Patriot League tournament. Boston U. has won two straight, beating Holy Cross (5-4) and UMass (2-0). Ailsa Connolly leads the team in goals (8), assists (5) and points (21). A pair of goalkeepers have seen time, led by Caroline Kelly, who's tallied a 2.63 GAA and 67.1 save percentage in 14 games (10 starts). Livy Golini has also played in nine games, starting six, while posting a 2.02 GAA and 70.3 save percentage.

Boston University leads the all-time series, 6-0. The closest call came in 2014, a 1-0 Terriers' win in Boston.

Lehigh is still alive for its first Patriot League tournament since 2011, but needs to beat Boston University by four or more and have Holy Cross lose to Bucknell on Saturday (by any margin). In this scenario, the Mountain Hawks would be in a three-way tie with Boston University and Holy Cross for the fourth and final tournament spot, but with a four-goal win, Lehigh would earn the tiebreaker due to goal differential amongst the tied teams. If the Mountain Hawks win by three, things would go to the next tiebreakers; Lehigh would also need Bucknell to beat Holy Cross by four and the Mountain Hawks would need to overtake the Crusaders in the RPI.
