BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Following a record-breaking career, former Lehigh men's basketball standout Kahron Ross has signed a professional contract with PS Karlsruhe Lions in Germany's ProA league. Ross graduated this past May after breaking the Lehigh and Patriot League career assists records with 660. Ross owns all of Lehigh's assist records: game (14 at Arizona State freshman year), season (194 as a sophomore) and career (660).

Ross became the first-ever four-time All-Patriot League honoree in program history. As a senior, he averaged a career-high 13.2 points to go with 4.2 assists and 1.4 steals, finishing his career with a school and Patriot League record 660 assists, shattering the previous league and Lehigh marks of 599 and 578, respectively. The Jonesboro, Arkansas native reached double-figure points 21 times as a senior, including three occasions scoring 20 or more points. He scored 1,368 career points, good for 15th in school history. Ross was twice named Patriot League Player of the Week in 2018-19, including after a career-high 30-point effort at American to lead the Mountain Hawks to an 80-78 overtime win. He also earned the honor in December. As a senior, Ross shot a career-high 50.2 percent from the field, including a career-high 42.7 percent from three-point range.

Ross was named Patriot League Rookie of the Year as a freshman while earning third team All-League laurels. Ross was named to the first team as a sophomore then second team as a junior and senior. He also became the first player in school history to post a 4-0 record at Lafayette in a career.

With Ross' signing, it marks nine straight seasons that at least one graduating senior has moved on to professional basketball. In the class of 2017, Tim Kempton played in Spain and Israel last season and will play in Greece this coming year for Kolossos Rhodes. Austin Price won his league's championship for the Koping Stars in Sweden last year, and will play this coming season in the EuroMillions League of Belgium. In the class of 2016, both Jesse Chuku and Justin Goldsborough have played professionally and Chuku recently signed with Club Melilla Baloncesto in Melilla, Spain for this upcoming campaign.
