BETHLEHEM, Pa – The men's cross country team held its annual banquet this past Sunday to reflect on the season and divvy out postseason awards.

Sophomore Sean Brown was named Athlete of the Year; with Brown bringing his best during the Patriot League Championship at Bucknell, leading Lehigh runners with a 17th place overall finish as the Mountain Hawks finished fifth overall as a team. Brown placed in the top-three among Lehigh runners two other times, those being the Bison Open where he finished second and the Princeton Invitational where he placed third among Lehigh runners.

Junior Jeffrey Kirshenbaum was named the Scholar-Athlete of the year after. The economics major owns a near spotless 3.98 GPA and was named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team back in November. Kirshenbaum was also named to the Patriot League academic honor roll the past two seasons in cross country and track along with being named to the honor roll in track and field in 2018. He was also named to the ECAC President's Honor Roll for his academic prowess during the 2018 track and field season.

Head coach Todd Etters presented senior Kyle Berman with the Coaches' Award this season. Coming in as a junior in his inaugural season and competing in just three meets, Berman made strides this year. Finishing second in the Lehigh-Lafayette meet earlier this season, Berman would see action in three more races, including a 101st place, finish in the Paul Short Run open 8k race and a 78th place finish in the Bison Open to start the year.
