BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's and women's cross country teams have unveiled their schedules for the upcoming 2017 season, which will begin in just over three weeks. Lehigh will host five meets this coming season on the Goodman Campus Course, their most home meets in one season in at least 14 years. The home slate also includes both the Patriot League Championship meet and the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional, marking the first time Lehigh has hosted both events in the same year since 2005.

Both teams will open up the season on Friday, Sept. 1 with the annual Lehigh Invitational at Goodman Campus. Both teams will run the 6K course with the men's race starting at 5:30 p.m., followed by the women at 6:15.

One week later on Sept. 8, Lehigh will host the annual dual meet with rival Lafayette beginning at 5:30. The Lehigh men will be going for their 19th straight win in the series, while the women have won 12 straight dating back to 2005.

The women will not compete on the weekend of Friday, Sept. 15, while the men will head out to the Main Line Invitational at Haverford College on Friday evening. Both teams will reconvene on Friday, Sept. 22 at the Boston College Invitational (formerly the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown) at Boston's Franklin Park.

Lehigh will then host the 44th annual Paul Short Run at Goodman Campus on Friday, Sept. 29. The largest intercollegiate cross country race in the nation, the Paul Short Run annually attracts approximately 6,000 runners from over 400 colleges and high schools from around the U.S. and Canada.
