
Lehigh Track and Field Teams, Reigle Earn USTFCCCA Recognition

Bethlehem, Pa. - The Lehigh men's and women's track and field teams earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic team honors, while reigning Patriot League champion pole vaulter Laura Reigle garnered individual recognition.

Criteria to earn a team award is the cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the NCAA Squad List for Indoor/or Outdoor Track and Field must be a 3.0 or higher.

The men's team compiled a cumulative 3.29 GPA while the women's team earned a 3.3 GPA.

The academic criteria to be named an NCAA Division I All-Academic Athlete includes a minimum GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale, must have completed at least (2) semesters or three (3) quarters at the nominating institution. Athletic criteria states the athlete must have finished the season ranked in the top 96 in any championship individual event, or in the top 48 in any championship relay event, for the most recent indoor season, or must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships (the Preliminary Championship Competition and/or the Final Championship Competition) or for the multi-events, must have finished the season ranked in the top 48 in the East or top 48 in the West for the most recent outdoor season.

A rising sophomore graphic design major, Reigle has a cumulative 3.88 GPA. She claimed both the 2023 Patriot League Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field titles in the pole vault and secured a spot on the All-Patriot League first team, going on to win the 2023 ECAC/IC4A pole vault championship after clearing 4.03m. The Hilton, N.Y. native made her NCAA Championship debut this spring with a 23rd-place finish in the NCAA East Preliminaries in Jacksonville, Fla.
