
Mountain Hawks set to compete at Navy Spring Invitational this weekend

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's golf team enters its final event of the season before the Patriot League Championship as it will travel to Annapolis, Maryland, for the Navy Spring Invitational this weekend. The event will take place Saturday and Sunday at the Naval Academy Golf Club and is set for an 8 a.m. start Saturday.

Lehigh is coming off a 13th place finish out of 22 teams in the Kingsmill Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, Virginia. Overall, Lehigh was just one stroke behind 12th-place St. John's and 11 strokes from cracking the top 10.

Sophomore Reagan Jahn finished with the best score for Lehigh at 15 over par (231). She also had the lowest individual round for a Mountain Hawk at 74 in the opening round. Sophomore Aileen Jeong tallied the second-highest round at 76 in both the first and third rounds.

The Navy Spring Invitational will consist of 12 teams and will feature two rounds of 18 holes. The course is a par 72 and is 6,085 yards. The other teams competing will be Navy, Central Connecticut State, Dartmouth, Fairleigh Dickinson, La Salle, LIU Brooklyn, Niagara, Siena, Youngstown State, Saint Francis (Pa.) and Harvard.

Last year, Lehigh finished second of four teams in the same tournament, falling one stroke shy of Georgetown.

Following this weekend's competition, the Mountain Hawks will host the Patriot League Championship on April 22-23 at the Saucon Valley Country Club.
