Men’s Track Set for Muhlenberg Spring Invitational this Weekend

Muhlenberg Spring Invitational: Meet Schedule | Live Results
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's track and field team will compete in the Lehigh Valley for the second straight weekend this Saturday at the Muhlenberg Spring Invitational. The team is coming off a win at last weekend's Lafayette 7-Way Invitational, where the Mountain Hawks accumulated 11 individual wins and seven runner-up finishes.
Freshman Joe Espinal took home Patriot League Rookie and Track Athlete of the Week honors after winning the 400m dash last Saturday at the 7-Way, setting a new personal record of 48.77 in the process, a time that ranks fifth in the PL this season. Freshman David Fletcher led the way for Lehigh by winning the 1500m run, helping the Mountain Hawks sweep the top five spots in the race. Juniors Henry Paul, Michael Camera and Joseph Inglis, as well as seniors Christopher Del Rossi and Tom Troxell all picked up wins on the track. Senior Lucas Warning was victorious in the shot put, along with freshman Kyle Sult in the javelin.
Saturday's Invitational will begin at 10 a.m. at Muhlenberg's Scotty Wood Stadium in Allentown. The men's track events will begin with the 3,000m steeplechase at 10:25 a.m. and conclude at 4:15 p.m. with the 4x400 meter relay. Nearly 20 schools are scheduled to compete at the meet, including Lehigh Valley foes Lafayette, DeSales and Moravian. Live results will be available for the meet.
