Lehigh set for Kingsmill Intercollegiate beginning Monday in Virginia

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After a solid performance in the Seminole State Spring Break tournament, the Lehigh women's golf team will look to build off its third place finish when the Mountain Hawks travel to Williamsburg, Va. on Monday to compete in the Kingsmill Intercollegiate, hosted by William & Mary.

The 54-hole event features a 22-team field, with 36 holes scheduled for Monday and the final 18 holes scheduled on Tuesday. The Kingsmill Intercollegiate will be played at the par 72, 6,043-yard River Course at Kingsmill Resort.

Four Mountain Hawks finished in the top 10 individually as Lehigh shot 321 in the final round to finish at 646 (325-321) Seminole State Spring Break tournament. Lehigh placed third out of 10 total teams in the event. Sophomore Reagan Jahn and senior Elizabeth McGarrigle tied for seventh place individually at 17 over par 161. Sophomore Aileen Jeong and freshman Minuette Laessig were part of a tie for 10th place at 162.

The Mountain Hawks have been regulars at William & Mary's spring tournament as this marks the ninth straight year Lehigh will play in Williamsburg. Last spring, the Mountain Hawks finished 14th out of 19 teams in the event. Jahn led Lehigh as she finished tied for 17th place at 15 over par 231. She tallied a total of six birdies during the two-day tournament.

In addition to Lehigh and host William & Mary, the field features: Akron, Ball State, Bethune-Cookman, Central Connecticut, Delaware, Farleigh Dickinson, Illinois State, James Madison, Longwood, Marshall, UKMC, Navy, Penn, Radford, Richmond, Sacred Heart, St. Francis (Pa.), St. John's, Towson, and Wagner.

Action at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate will tee off with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. on both Monday and Tuesday. Live stats will be available at Birdiefire.com

Next up for the Mountain Hawks will be the Navy Spring Tournament, April 8-9 in Annapolis, Md.
