Four Mountain Hawks post top 10 finishes at Seminole State Spring Break

LAKE MARY, Fla. – Playing in cool, windy conditions, the Lehigh women's golf team shaved four strokes off its round one score as the Mountain Hawks settled for third place in the Seminole State Spring Break tournament, which wrapped up Wednesday at Timacuan Golf and Country Club.
 
Four Mountain Hawks finished in the top 10 individually as Lehigh shot 321 on Wednesday to finish at 646 (325-321). Sophomore Reagan Jahn posted the top final round score for Lehigh, a 79 to tie for seventh place at 17 over par 161 (82-79). Senior Elizabeth McGarrigle was also a part of the tie for seventh, shooting an 81 Wednesday to go with Tuesday's 80.
 
Sophomore Aileen Jeong and freshman Minuette Laessig were part of a tie for 10th place at 162. Jeong shot 81 for the second consecutive day, while Laessig went down to an 80 after shooting 82 on Tuesday.
 
Junior Megan Moylan shaved two strokes off her Tuesday total, improving to an 87 on Wednesday to tie for 33rd at 176 (89-87).
 
Competing as an individual, freshman Rebecca Markunas improved eight strokes from her Tuesday score, following a 98 with a 90 to tie for 49th place at 188.
 
Hosts Seminole State College had four of the top five individuals and cruised to the team title at 625 (313-312). Gardner-Webb finished second at 640, six strokes ahead of Lehigh, which finished 20 strokes clear of fourth place Florida Atlantic.
 
Seminole State's Tuan-Yu Chiang was the individual medalist at five over par 149 (74-75). She held off teammate Roanne Tomlinson by two strokes.
 
The Mountain Hawks will return to action at the William & Mary Intercollegiate, March 27-28 in Williamsburg, Va.
