Lehigh Tennis Home for Four Weekend Matches

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's and women's tennis teams will host a pair of weekend doubleheaders inside the Lewis Tennis Center. The Mountain Hawks will host Mount St. Mary's on Saturday with the men's match starting at 11 a.m. and the women's match to follow at 3 p.m. On Sunday, Lehigh will host Saint Francis with the men's match leading off at 11 a.m. and the women's match following at 3 p.m.

The Lehigh men (1-5) will look to bounce back from a tough 5-2 loss to Stony Brook at home last Saturday. The Seawolves opened by winning the doubles point and then continued to roll through the singles competition, picking up three-straight wins in order at the first three singles flights. Colin Nardella earned his first win of the season by picking up a 1-6, 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles. Ethan Boagard earned Lehigh's other win on the day with an 8-6 victory at flight No. 5 and is now 2-0 while playing at the fifth spot.

The Mountain Hawk women (1-2) are coming off their first win of the season following a dominating 6-1 victory over Stony Brook last Saturday at home. Christina Auyeung scored a 7-5, 6-3 victory at singles flight No. 1 and teamed up with Jamie Campisi for a 7-5 victory at No. 1 doubles. Campisi posted her first singles victory of the season with an 8-1 win at No. 6 singles. Briana Maravich earned her first win of the season with a 6-4, 6-4 victory at No. 4 singles and Cassidy Cruz also earned her first win with an 8-4 victory at No. 5 singles.

The Mount St. Mary's men return to the courts for the first time since suffering a 5-2 season-opening loss at George Mason on February 3. Louis Tonon and Brandon Wortkotter registered the team's two wins on the day. Tonon scored a 7-5, 7-6(1) victory at No. 3 singles and Wortkotter battled to a 6-4, 4-6, 10-6 win at No. 6 singles.

The Mount women are back in action for the second time this week after falling 6-1 at Navy in the season opener on Tuesday. Freshman Alexa Quintanilla claimed a victory at the top flight of singles and combined with Sruthi Kamprath for a win in doubles action at flight No.1.

The Saint Francis men's squad enters the weekend with a 6-2 record on the season and riding a three-match win streak. The Red Flash's is 1-1 against Patriot League competition this season with a 4-3 loss at Navy on January 22 and a 7-0 victory over Lafayette last Saturday. Jan Vit Suntar and Franz Lunar lead the team with seven wins each. Suntar is 7-0 while playing primarily at the sixth spot and Luna is 7-1 while playing all his matches at the second spot.

The Red Flash women own a 3-5 record on the season entering the weekend and are on a two-match win streak. SFU is 1-1 this season against Patriot League opponents with a 5-2 loss at Navy on January 22 and 6-1 victory over Lafayette last Saturday. Kathryn Dunleavy and Stephanie Miller lead the Red Flash with five wins each on the season. Dunleavy is 5-3 while playing at No. 5 singles and Miller is also 5-3 while playing primarily at No. 4 singles.

This weekend's matches concludes the five-match February home stand for the men as they return to action next month in California on their spring break trip. The women will have one more home match next Sunday against Delaware before returning to action in California on spring break.
