
Jeong's top-five finish paces Mountain Hawks at Brown Bear Fall Invitational

SEEKONK, Mass. – With junior Aileen Jeong leading the way, the Lehigh women's golf team tied for fourth place in the 11 team Brown Bear Fall Invitational, which wrapped-up Monday at Ledgemont Country Club. Jeong tied for fourth place with a final score of two over par 144, following up a round of even par 71 on Sunday with a 73 on Monday. She carded four birdies on the day, one of three Mountain Hawks to card four birdies on Monday.

Lehigh shot 301 as a team Monday to finish the tournament at 606 (305-301), tying the Mountain Hawks with Fairleigh Dickinson for fourth place. Seton Hall dominated the field on the way to the team title, finishing at one over par 569 (284-285) to defeat St. John's by 34 strokes. Quinnipiac finished third one stroke behind the Red Storm.

Junior Reagan Jahn matched Jeong with a 73 on Monday, making four birdies including three in a four hole stretch from 12 through 15. Jahn tied for 15th place at eight over par 150 (77-73).

Also competing for the Mountain Hawks were sophomore Minuette Laessig, who tied for 28th place at 155 (77-78), senior Megan Moylan, who shot 157 (80-77) and tied for 34th, and freshman Angela Ding, who shot 159 (80-79) to tie for 41st place. Ding was the third Mountain Hawk to make four birdies in Monday's final round.

Seton Hall had the top three individual finishers with Mia Kness besting Madeline Sager on the fourth playoff hole. Both players were one under par 141 (70-71) through 36 holes.

The Mountain Hawks will close out their fall campaign when they host the Lehigh Invitational, Sunday and Monday on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.
