Mountain Hawks headed to New England for Brown Bear Fall Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. ā After nearly a month away from competition the Lehigh women's golf team returns to action this weekend at the two-day, 36-hole Brown Bear Fall Invitational beginning Sunday at Ledgemont Country Club in Seekonk, Mass.

Action begins Sunday with first tee times set for 10 a.m. while the final 18 holes will be played Monday with a shotgun start beginning at 9:30 a.m. This will be the first event for Brown on its new home course, which plays 6,100 yards to a par 71.

Lehigh performed will in its first two fall events, taking second in the nine team Tignanelli Towson Invitational and third in the 12 team Navy Fall Invitational. Junior Reagan Jahn was the individual medalist at Towson, while classmate Aileen Jeong and senior Megan Moylan were the top performers for the Mountain Hawks at Navy.

The Mountain Hawks have used the same five-player lineup in their first two tournaments with Jahn, Jeong and Moylan joined by sophomore Minuette Laessig and freshman Alexis Browne.

In addition to Lehigh and Brown, the 11-team field featuresĀ Seton Hall, St. John's, Quinnipiac, Fairleigh Dickinson, Hartford, Long Island, Siena, Central Connecticut State and Wagner.

Following the Brown Bear Invitational, Lehigh will close out its fall slate when it hosts the Lehigh Invitational, Oct. 22-23 on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.
