BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's basketball team will close out the first round of Patriot League play on Wednesday when it travels to Colgate to face the Raiders. Opening tipoff at Cotterell Court is set for 7 p.m. The Mountain Hawks enter Wednesday's game winners of four of their last five games while Colgate has won three of its last four contests.

Lehigh pulled out a 75-68 win over archrival Lafayette on Saturday, despite the Leopards beginning the second half on a 10-0 run. The Mountain Hawks responded over the middle stages of the half to turn a seven-point deficit with 17:58 on the clock into a seven-point lead with 8:49 remaining, on their way to the nine-point victory. Lehigh held onto the lead for the game's final 10:21, despite the strong play from Lafayette's Nick Lindner, who drained 7-of-11 three-pointers on the evening, including several contested treys with defenders in his face.

Senior Austin Price paced the offense with 24 points behind 8-of-13 shooting. He made many big plays down the stretch, including an offensive rebound and three-point play to give Lehigh a four-point lead with 5:26 remaining. Price also converted a long three-pointer with the shot clock winding down, giving the Mountain Hawks an eight-point, 71-63 advantage with 1:23 remaining. Classmate Tim Kempton added 19 points and seven rebounds, knocking down 10-of-12 free throws. Lehigh finished the game hitting 19-of-23 from the charity stripe (82.6 percent), its 10th game this season (and third time in the last four games) at 80 percent or higher. Price moved into sole possession of 18th place in school history for career points (currently 1,280), surpassing Zahir Carrington, who was in the building Saturday as part of a special alumni reunion. Several members of the 2011-12 team which defeated Duke in the NCAA Tournament was recognized at halftime, five years after Lehigh's big 75-70 victory. Kempton also jumped two spots into eighth place in Patriot League history for career points and fifth place in school history (currently 1,795).

Freshman Pat Andree added 13 points and seven rebounds while sophomore Kyle Leufroy added nine points and junior Kahron Ross had eight points and nine assists compared to just two turnovers. Ross finished the week with just two turnovers over two games (74 minutes played). He helped lead a Lehigh team which committed a season-low 10 turnovers for the game.

The win marked head coach Brett Reed's 100th career home win as the 10th year head coach is now 100-38 in the friendly confines of Stabler Arena. Lehigh has now won three straight games against Lafayette. The Mountain Hawks are now tied for second place in the Patriot League standings at 5-3, two games out of first place.

After a tough nonleague schedule, Colgate has been very solid in Patriot League play, entering Wednesday's game with a 4-4 league mark. The Raiders have won three of their last four games, coming off a 2-0 week which saw them win at Boston University, 67-58 and defeat Loyola, 52-49. Freshman Will Rayman has paced the offense, averaging 15.0 points and 4.5 rebounds. Sean O'Brien is averaging 13.1 points and a team-leading 4.1 assists per game while Jordan Swopshire comes in at 9.0 points per game and Malcolm Regisford is at 7.9 per contest.

Last season, Lehigh swept the season series against Colgate to snap a three-game losing streak against the Raiders and pull within 51-38 in the all-time series. The Mountain Hawks have won eight of the last 12 games against Colgate overall, including Patriot League Quarterfinal victories in 2012 and 2013. Lehigh has won two of the last three meetings at Colgate. The first-ever meeting between the two sides was in 1909-10, a 25-24 Colgate win. The next game didn't come until 1959-60. Lehigh's first victory was in 1961-62 by a 72-71 final.

Following Wednesday's game, the Mountain Hawks return home on Monday, Jan. 30 to host Boston University at 7 p.m. in a nationally-televised game on CBS Sports Network.
