Sunday's Lehigh-Bucknell softball series finale postponed due to rain

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Lehigh softball team's series finale at Bucknell Sunday afternoon has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up Tuesday at Bucknell's Becker Field with first pitch set for 3:30 p.m.
The start time of Sunday's game was initially delayed an hour due to morning rains. Once play began the game was delayed by rain twice, first in the bottom of the second after Bucknell plated two runs to take a 2-1 lead and then in the bottom of the fourth with two on and no outs.
Because the game was not-yet official, Tuesday's make-up game will start new and all statistics from Sunday's game will be erased.
Lehigh claimed the first two games of the series, winning 10-0 in six innings and then 2-1 on Saturday to improve to 33-12 overall and 11-2 in the Patriot League.
Following Tuesday's game, the Mountain Hawks will host five games at Leadership Park this week, a non-league doubleheader with Delaware Wednesday beginning at 3 p.m. and then a three-game Patriot League series with Holy Cross with a doubleheader set for Saturday at noon and a single game set for Sunday at noon. All five home games are scheduled to be broadcast on the Patriot League Network.
