Lehigh softball series at Boston University postponed

BOSTON – Inclement weather has forced the postponement of the three-game softball series between Lehigh and Boston University at BU Softball Field. The series will be made up at dates still to be announced in April.
Lehigh and BU originally moved up Saturday's doubleheader to 10 a.m. to try to beat the rain in the forecast, but a steady rain began falling earlier than expected and play was halted with the Terriers leading 4-1 at the end of one inning. Because Saturday's first game was not yet official, all statistics from the game will be erased.
Saturday's forecast in Boston calls for continued rain throughout the afternoon, while cold temperatures, snow and wind are in the forecast for Sunday and Monday.
The Mountain Hawks will next play a single game at Fordham Tuesday beginning at 4 p.m. in the Bronx, N.Y.
Lehigh will resume Patriot League play next weekend when the Mountain Hawks host Colgate for three games Saturday and Sunday at Leadership Park.
