CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – A trio of Lehigh cross country runners have earned three of the four major weekly awards from the Patriot League this week, the league announced on Tuesday. Sophomore Maura Henderson has won her second straight Female Runner of the Week award, while freshman Jeffrey Kirshenbaum and Hannah Bonaguidi have been honored as the Male and Female Rookies of the Week. All three led the way for Lehigh in the Gold Races at Saturday's Paul Short Run.

Henderson ran the fastest time of any Patriot League female in any of the Paul Short races this past weekend, finishing 28th of 405 in the Gold race in 20:39.5. The time was the second-fastest time by a Lehigh female ever run on the 6K Goodman Campus Course, just 13 seconds behind Elizabeth Weiler's record mark set in 2014.

Bonaguidi collects her third weekly award from the PL, including her second Rookie of the Week honor after finishing second on the team, 74th overall in 21:06.9, which is the fifth fastest 6K Lehigh time on the Goodman Campus Course. As a team, Lehigh had its highest finish in eight years at Paul Short, coming in 20th out of 45 teams. Lehigh is also the only Patriot League school to have a major weekly award winner (male or female) in four of the first five weeks of the season.

Kirshenbaum collects the first weekly award for the Lehigh men this season, after leading the Mountain Hawks pack on Saturday with his 126th place finish out of 336 runners. His season-best time of 25:02.7 helped the team to a 22nd place finish out of 38 teams.

Both teams will enjoy a weekend off coming up, before the Penn State National on Oct. 14 (women only) and the Leopard Invitational at Lafayette (both teams) on Oct. 15.
