Lehigh heads to Bucknell Invitational for second fall tournament

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's golf team will travel to Lewisburg, Pa. to compete in the Bucknell Invitational this weekend. The 15-team event will be held at the par-70 Bucknell Golf Club with two rounds being played Saturday and one on Sunday in the 54-hole event.
The Mountain Hawks opened up their 2015-16 season with a ninth place finish at the Tignanelli Towson Invitational last weekend. Lehigh was led by senior Nicole Feierberg who tied for fifth place at eight over par 152. Freshman Aileen Jeong had a strong debut in the Brown and White as she finished tied for 13th place at 157.
Along with host and Patriot League foe Bucknell , the Mountain Hawks will be accompanied by Fairleigh Dickinson, Kutztown, LIU, Monmouth, Niagara, Princeton, Richmond, Saint Francis (Pa.), St. Francis (N.Y.), St. John's, Seton Hall, Siena, and Valparaiso.
Last fall, Lehigh completed the Bucknell Invitational with a seventh place finish. Current junior Elizabeth McGarrigle placed 14th place overall at 234 (74-86-74) and Feierberg was the next highest finisher coming in 26th place at 24 (78-84-78). The Mountain Hawks shot 320 in Sunday's final round to finish at 973 (320-333-320).
Following this weekend, the Mountain Hawks will compete in the Princeton Invitational on Oct. 3-4 before commencing preparations to host the Lehigh Invitational on Oct. 10-11.
Action at the Bucknell Invitational begins with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on both Saturday and Sunday. Live scoring will be available on GolfStat.com.
