Lehigh with three in top ten after day one at Patriot League Championship

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Lehigh women's golf team has three individuals in the top ten after the opening 36 holes at the Patriot League Championship, which began Saturday at the Naval Academy Golf Club. As a team, Lehigh finished the day in second place at 630 (319-311). The Mountain Hawks are 18 strokes ahead of third place Richmond but 18 behind first place Boston University.
 
Senior Alyssa Scheyd led the way for the Mountain Hawks with rounds of 77 and 76 for nine over par 153 and sits in fourth place after 36 holes. Junior Nicole Feierberg sits in fifth place, three strokes behind Scheyd. Feierberg opened with an 80 and eagled the 288 yard second hole in the afternoon on the way to a 76.
 
Lehigh's third player in the top ten is senior captain Kelly Moylan who rebounded from a morning 81 to shoot 77 in the afternoon and is tied for sixth place at 158.
 
Two Mountain Hawks are tied for 14th place at 165. Senior Melanie Dickens shot 83 and 82 on Saturday while freshman Casey Farmer matched Moylan with an 81 in the first round and shot 84 in the afternoon.
 
Lehigh's sixth player is freshman Megan Moylan who is tied for 25th place at 172 following back-to-back rounds of 86.
 
Boston University holds the 36 hole team lead at 612 after rounds of 307 and 305. The Terriers have the top three individuals, led by Adela Cejnarova who opened with an even par 72 and sits at two over par 146, five strokes better than teammates Emily Tilo and Phyllis Tang.
 
The Patriot League Championship concludes Sunday with the final 18 holes beginning at 8:30 a.m.
