ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Lehigh women's golf team battled to a strong final round 309, but an 18 stroke deficit was too much to overcome as the Mountain Hawks finished second at the Patriot League Championship, which wrapped-up Sunday at the Naval Academy Golf Club. The Mountain Hawks finished ten strokes behind Boston University which won its first title at 929 (307-305-317).

Lehigh's final team score was 939 (319-311-309) as the Mountain Hawks finished 39 strokes ahead of third place Navy.

The Mountain Hawks placed three student-athletes on the All-Patriot League teams. All three all-league players finished with rounds of 78 on Sunday. Senior Alyssa Scheyd earned all-league honors for the first time as she led Lehigh with a third place finish at 231 (77-76-78). Junior Nicole Feierberg earned her second all-league nod and made the first team for the first time, finishing fourth at 234 (80-76-78).

Senior captain Kelly Moylan capped her career with a third all-league honor. Moylan earned second team honors with a sixth place finish at 236 (81-77-78).

Lehigh's low round on Sunday came from freshman Megan Moylan, who shot 75, the lowest round for a Mountain Hawk on the weekend. Moylan's 75 followed back-to-back rounds of 86 on Saturday and lifted her into 14th place at 247. Freshman Casey Farmer finished one stroke behind Megan Moylan, tying for 15th place at 248 (81-84-83).

Senior Melanie Dickens was Lehigh's sixth scoring player. She capped her career with a 21st place finish at 255 (83-82-90).

Boston University had the top two individual finishers, with Adela Cejnarova leading wire-to-wire to take the title and Most Outstanding Player honors at six over par 222 (72-74-76). She bested teammate Emily Tillo by six strokes, while Scheyd finished nine strokes back.

The Terriers' Phyllis Tang was the Most Outstanding Rookie with her fifth place finish. Navy's Nadia Ste-Marie was voted coach of the year by her peers.

Lehigh will graduate three seniors in Dickens, Kelly Moylan and Scheyd who were on the Mountain Hawks' 2013 Patriot League Championship-winning team.
