Tickets for Thursday’s Patriot League Quarterfinal vs American on sale now

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Tickets for Thursday's Patriot League Men's Basketball Quarterfinal showdown featuring third-seeded Lehigh against sixth-seeded American are now on sale. The Mountain Hawks will host a quarterfinal round game for the fifth time in the last six years. Thursday's game will tip at 7 p.m. with the winner advancing to the semifinals on Sunday at the highest remaining seed.
Tickets are just $14 for the general public and Lehigh faculty/staff , and just $7 for students. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance by clicking here and utilizing the convenient print-at-home option. Fans can also call the box office at 610-758-4263 during normal business hours.
Defending Patriot League Champion American enters the tournament with a 15-15 record and 8-10 mark in the league. The Eagles are coming off a slim 71-69 loss to first-place Bucknell on Saturday, one game after defeating Navy 68-49. American is led by Jesse Reed who's averaging 14.1 points per game.
Lehigh has been red-hot at home as of late, winning six of its last seven in the friendly confines of Stabler Arena. Included in that stretch was a 103-point outburst against Army, 89 points in a win over Boston University and perhaps most impressively, a dominant 84-65 win over first-place Bucknell on Wednesday.
The Mountain Hawks have produced their share of excitement in Stabler Arena during that stretch, including a 61-point first half against Army, a 25-3 run against defending Patriot League Champion American and a highlight-reel slam dunk from sophomore Miles Simelton against Bucknell, just to name a few.
Lehigh has enjoyed success in the Patriot League Tournament, advancing to the Patriot League Semifinals in five of the last six seasons including winning the championship twice. The Mountain Hawks and Eagles last played in the postseason in 2012 when Lehigh defeated American 71-60 in the Patriot League Semifinals.
