BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh swimming and diving teams will look to close out their 2014-15 regular season on a positive note this weekend. The Mountain Hawks will host Drexel on Saturday at Jacobs Pool, looking to bounce back from losses to Bucknell last weekend. Saturday's meet will be Lehigh's final tune-up before the Patriot League Championships.

On the men's side, a victory would secure a winning record after last weekend's loss to Bucknell dropped the Mountain Hawks to 5-5 on the dual season. Five individuals won one individual event for the Mountain Hawks, who were once again strong in the sprint freestyle events but it was not enough to secure a Lehigh victory. Junior Jake Hassel, freshman Zach Tieke, and senior Jake Greene all brought home wins for the Mountain Hawks in their respective events. Sophomores Jamal Willis and Jacob Moyar also collected victories for the Lehigh squad.

Lehigh's contingent of nine seniors will be competing in their final meet at Jacobs Pool. These nine seniors include Dan Bateman, Danny Bennett, Sean Brant, Chris Campbell, Owen Dunbar, Jake Greene, Tim Parsons, Eric Sherwood, and Michael Wheaton.

The women are coming off a tough loss to Bucknell last weekend that dropped their mark to 5-4. Sophomore Kaitlyn Ruffing led Lehigh sweeps in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events. Junior Courtney Patterson won two events, while freshman Julianne Koch took home the 200 free. Lehigh dominated the sprints, sweeping the top three spots in both the 50 and 100 yard events.

Saturday's meet will also serve as the final home meet for seniors Alissa Leung, Mary Caitlin Samuels, Madeleine Smith, and Kimberly Weyand.

Drexel has had an impressive season so far. On the men's side, the Dragons have won eight straight meets after losing their season-opener to La Salle. Drexel has defeated Patriot League foes Loyola and Lafayette and most recently defeated Georgetown last weekend. The women are winners of five of their last seven meets and sit at 6-4 on the year. They also have yet to lose to a Patriot League team winning both their meets against Lafayette and Loyola. The Drexel women also defeated Georgetown last weekend.

Last year, both men and women Mountain Hawks defeated Drexel in their last meet of the season.

Saturday's meet begins at 10 a.m. with diving events from Jacobs Pool, followed by swimming events around 1 p.m.

Following this weekend's meet, the Mountain Hawks will spend the next three weeks preparing for the Patriot League Championships at Bucknell, February 18-21.
