
Strong Sunday leads Lehigh to fourth at Navy Invitational

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Lehigh women's golf team saved its best for the final round of the Navy Fall Invitational, shooting a weekend-best 311 on Sunday to finish fourth out of 15 teams. Sisters Kelly and Megan Moylan tied for ninth to lead the Mountain Hawks, who finished the 54-hole event at 316-322-311-949.
Senior captain Kelly Moylan posted the fourth highest score among Lehigh's scoring players, shooting 81 on Sunday to finish at 236 (76-79-81); while sister Megan, a freshman finished with a 76 to close out the weekend at 81-79-76. Kelly Moylan finished second in the field making par on 36 of the 54 holes.
Lehigh's low round Sunday went to sophomore (redacted), who shot 75. (redacted) finished third among Mountain Hawk scorers and tied for 17th overall at 238 (82-81-75). The Mountain Hawks' No. 2 finisher at Navy was senior Melanie Dickens who tied for 14th at 237 (79-82-76).
Also competing for the Mountain Hawks were junior Nicole Feierberg, who tied for 25th at 240 (79-82-79), and sophomore Elizabeth McGarrigle, who tied for 37th at 246 (83-80-83).
Towson and Penn both finished at 922 in the team race with the Tigers prevailing by two strokes in a playoff. Penn's Isabella Rahm was the individual medalist at three over par 219, defeating Towson's Krissy Unger by two strokes.
The Mountain Hawks will be off until they compete at the Rutgers Invitational, October 10-11 in Piscataway, N.J.
