Six Mountain Hawks named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh men's basketball team tied for the league lead by placing six student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced on Tuesday. The six honorees were tied with Bucknell for most in the Patriot League as 35 individuals were recognized across the ten teams.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.

Leading the way were juniors Stefan Cvrkalj and Corey Schaefer, each with a 3.81 semester grade point average. Cvrkalj, an Accounting major, also received the Scholar-Athlete award at the team's end-of-year banquet, while Schaefer (Finance) was honored with the Coached Award.

Others recognized were senior Anthony D'Orazio with a 3.60 GPA in Accounting, freshman Tim Kempton with a 3.52 GPA in Business, John Ross Glover with a 3.50 GPA in Arts and Sciences and freshman Austin Price who earned a 3.33 GPA in Engineering.

The Mountain Hawks are coming off a season which saw them pick up winning streaks of five and four games while defeating Patriot League Regular Season Champion Boston University and 20-win Quinnipiac. Kempton was named the league's Rookie of the Year while Price also garnered a spot on the All-Rookie Team. Six of Lehigh's top seven scorers return next season.
