Monday recap
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – Rain forced the cancellation of the final round of the Red Flash Invitational Tuesday at Sunnehanna Country Club. With the cancellation, Lehigh's 36-hole score of 327-303-630 is good enough for a four stroke win over Youngstown State, in what becomes the Mountain Hawks' second tournament win this spring.
Junior Alyssa Scheyd is Lehigh's top individual, tying for fourth place overall at 72-81-153. Scheyd's opening round 72 was highlighted by a hole-in-one on the 167-yard par 3 14th hole, her second hole of the day.
All five of Lehigh's scoring players finished in the top 15 individually.
Emily Dixon of Youngstown State earned individual medalist honors with a 148 (75-73).
The Mountain Hawks will host the two-day Patriot League Championship beginning Saturday at Saucon Valley Country Club.
