Lehigh to play in Red Flash Invitational in final tune-up before PLC

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – In its final tune-up before next weekend's Patriot League Championship, the Lehigh women's golf team will compete in the Red Flash Invitational beginning Monday at Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown, Pa. The two-day, 54-hole tournament features seven women's teams including host Saint Francis (Pa.).
Lehigh was last in action two weeks ago, as the Mountain Hawks finished 14th at the Hoya Invitational in Beallsville, Md., which was shortened to 36 holes due to weather. The Mountain Hawks shaved six strokes off their first round score to finish the tournament 351-345-696.
Junior Kelly Moylan led the way for the Mountain Hawks finishing 31st individually, posting two rounds of nine over par 81.
Crystal Lee finished second on the team individually and tied for 58th overall at 85-87-172.
In addition to Lehigh and a pair of teams representing the defending NEC Champion Red Flash, the field includes Robert Morris, Bucknell, Detroit Mercy, Cleveland State, Canisius and Humber.
Golfes will tee off Monday beginning at 10 a.m. with 36 holes set for the opening day of play. The last 18 holes will begin on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Following the Red Flash Invitation the Mountain Hawks will host the Patriot League Championship April 19-20 at Saucon Valley Country Club.
