Inclement weather forces postponement of softball doubleheader at Villanova

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Inclement weather has forced the postponement of Lehigh's scheduled softball doubleheader at Villanova Wednesday afternoon. No makeup date has been announced.
The Villanova area was hit with snow Tuesday afternoon and evening, while Wednesday's forecast calls for temperatures in the mid-30s with strong winds.
Wednesday's postponement will mark the seventh and eighth games lost to inclement weather for Lehigh this season.
The Mountain Hawks (11-10, 3-0 Patriot League) will put their seven game winning streak on the line this weekend when they host rival Lafayette for a three game series. Lehigh and Lafayette will play a doubleheader Saturday and a single game Sunday with action both days beginning at noon. Streaming audio of all three games will be available at Lehighsports.com.
