
Lehigh returns home to battle Mount St. Mary's Sunday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's tennis team looks to bounce back from its first loss of the season Sunday when the Mountain Hawks welcome the Mountaineers of Mount St. Mary's to the Lewis Tennis Center for a 2 p.m. match. The Mountain Hawks won their first four duals of 2014 but fell to No. 58 Penn State 7-0 last Sunday in University Park.
The Mountain Hawks will put their 17 home match winning streak on the line against the Mountaineers. Lehigh defeated Fairleigh Dickinson last Saturday before falling to Penn State on Sunday.
Junior Mitchell Petersen is off to a fast start in singles play with a 4-1 record at the No. 2 and No. 3 flights. Petersen's only loss so far this season came against Penn State. Petersen and doubles partner Mark Goldberg are also 2-1 at the top flight.
Mount St. Mary's opens its spring season against Howard on Saturday before visiting Lehigh on Sunday. The Mountaineers went 2-1 in fall play. The Mount went 15-7 last season, advancing to the semifinals of the NEC Tournament.
Lehigh has defeated Mount St. Mary's in each of the last six seasons, including a 7-0 victory last year.
Sunday's match begins at 2 p.m. from Lehigh's Lewis Tennis Center.
Following Sunday's match Lehigh will continue an eight match homestand against Stony Brook and Delaware next weekend.
