
Moylan leads Mountain Hawks at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – Senior captain Kelly Moylan finished 26th overall to lead the Lehigh women's golf team at the Princeton Invitational, which wrapped-up Sunday at Springdale Golf Club. Moylan was the only Mountain Hawk to card three rounds under 80 to lead Lehigh, which finished the 54-hole tournament at 950 (309-314-327).
Moylan finished at 234 (78-77-79) to lead Lehigh's effort. Junior Nicole Feierberg finished three strokes behind Moylan, tying for 31st at 237 (76-82-79). Freshman Megan Moylan had her best round of the weekend, a 76, on Saturday afternoon and finished with an 84 Sunday to tie for 35th at 239.
Seventy six was the low round of the weekend among Lehigh's scoring players with Feierberg, Megan Moylan and senior Alyssa Scheyd all posting that score once. Scheyd finished at 240 (76-79-85) and tied for 37th.
Lehigh's final scoring player was sophomore Elizabeth McGarrigle, who tied for 56th place at 248 (80-83-85).
Senior Melanie Dickens competed as an individual and tied for 37th place at 240 (82-75-83).
Yale posted an impressive score of 305 Sunday in cool, windy weather conditions to win the team title at 896 (294-297-305). The Bulldogs defeated second place Rollins College by 11 strokes.
The Bulldogs also had the individual medalist, Marika Liu, who shot 72 on Sunday to finish at 219 (75-72-72), one stroke better than teammate Sandy Wongwaiwate and Princeton's Hana Ku.
The Mountain Hawks will close out their fall season next weekend when they host the Lehigh Invitational, Sunday and Monday at Saucon Valley Country Club.
