Mountain Hawks lead Patriot League squads with 20 Academic Honor Roll members

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's cross country team led all Patriot League schools with 20 student-athletes named to the Men's Cross Country Academic Honor Roll, as announced on Tuesday.
Freshman Kyle Leonard notched the top grade-point average with his perfect 4.0 mark in Lehigh's P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science. Leonard was one of ten Patriot League athletes to record a GPA of 4.0 or higher throughout the fall semester.
Behind Leonard was senior Ryan Knouse, a finance major who tallied an impressive 3.88 GPA. Sophomore Evan Hardy, who was named to the Academic All-Patriot League team at the end of the season, recorded a 3.80 GPA in his mechanical engineering major during the fall semester. Senior Tyler Mueller, the Patriot League Runner of the Year and Academic All-Patriot League member, also landed on the list with his 3.42 GPA in bioengineering.
Ten of the 20 Lehigh athletes named to the Honor Roll earned Dean's List distinctions with semester GPAs of 3.6 or higher. To be eligible for the honor roll, student-athletes must maintain a 3.2 GPA and be listed on the team roster.
In total, 111 Patriot League men's cross country student-athletes were named to the sport's Academic Honor Roll for the fall semester.
