Lee's 73 leads Mountain Hawks at Lehigh Palm Beach Invitational

NORTH PALM BEACH, Fla. – Junior Crystal Lee shot 73 to earn medalist honors, to lead the Lehigh women's golf team at its spring season-opening Lehigh Palm Beach Invitational on a breezy Monday at the Lost Tree Club. The Mountain Hawks competed against Yale and Richmond in the three-team, 18-hole event.
Lehigh's five scoring players combined to post a 318, seven strokes behind Yale, which shot 311, while Richmond posted a team score of 314.
Freshman Nicole Feierberg was Lehigh's No. 2 finisher among scoring players, carding an 81 to finish in 11th place, while seniors Chelsea Michalek and Ginette Schapira shot 82s to tie for 12th. Sophomore Melanie Dickens rounded out Lehigh's team of scoring players, finishing in 16th place with an 87.
Among other Lehigh individuals, sophomore Alyssa Scheyd shot 83 to finish 15th, freshman Tess Jennings carded an 89 to finish 18th, junior Elle Sander tied for 20th with a 92 and senior Natalie Lansing shot 95 to place 23rd.
Yale's Marika Liu and Seo Hee Moon tied for second with Moylan with rounds of 75 to lead the Bulldogs to the team title.
The Mountain Hawks will return to action on Sunday when they head to Williamsburg, Virginia for the three-day C&F Bank Invitational.
