Mountain Hawks complete competition at ASICS Winthrop Invitational

ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Lehigh track and field teams completed competition at the ASCICS Winthrop Invitational. The ASICS Invitational was shortened due to rain. Additionally, Lehigh completed its competition at the Big Five Invite at the University of Pennsylvania.
Richard Somiari highlighted the day for Lehigh, as he finished in first place in the men's triple jump with a distance of 14.10 meters. Also, Seth Robinson finished in first in the 400 meter hurdle finals at 57.52 seconds.
On the women's side, Jessica Perone finished in third place in the women's 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:09.40 while her teammate Victoria Oliva finished in fifth at 1:12.49.
At the Big Five Invite in Philadelphia, Alexis Weiner earned a first place finish in the 5000 meter run, scoring a time of 18:12.09. Idelis Matias posted a time of 18.29 second in the women's 100 meter dash, good enough for a ninth place finish. Elizabeth McManus placed seventh in the women's 400 meter dash with a time of 59.67. Emily Settle scored first place in the women's hammer throw event, with a distance of 48.82 meters. E'Lana Lemon finished just behind her at 46.69 meters. Rebecca Duhamel won the shot put event (12.59 m) and the discus throw (41.92 m).
 
On the men's side Devin Monroe was stellar as he finished first in the 200 meter dash (22.48) and placed fourth in the 100 meter dash, scoring a time of 11.39. Christopher Buck was victourious in the shot put event, with a distance of 14.69 meters.

Lehigh will be back in action on April 1 at the Sam Howell Invitational at Princeton and the Lafayette Invitational on April 2.
