Lehigh rolls to 7-0 shutout of Holy Cross in league opener

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Lehigh men's tennis team picked up its 10th win of the season with a dominant performance in a 7-0 blanking of Holy Cross Saturday at Army's Lichtenberg Tennis Center. The Mountain Hawks won all three doubles matches and swept the six singles matches to win their Patriot League opener and improve to 10-4 overall.
Lehigh's dominance continued into singles play, where no Mountain Hawk dropped more than five games en route to straight set wins. Laffey and sophomore Andrew Krentz turned in the most dominant performances, with 6-1, 6-0 wins at No. 2 and No. 6 singles. Laffey downed Chris Das, while Krentz rolled past Ajeya Shekar. List, Krueger, Goldberg and sophomore Matt Savran also posted straight-set wins to complete the shutout.
The Mountain Hawks will wrap-up the opening weekend of league play on Sunday when they face the Army Black Knights at 9 a.m. at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
