Lehigh receives votes in final Mid-Major poll

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men’s basketball team received 15 votes in the final 2010 Collegeinsider.com Mid-Major poll, announced on April 6. The Mountain Hawks won a school record 22 games during the 2009-10 season and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in history. Along the way Lehigh captured its first outright Patriot League regular season championship as well as the second Patriot League Tournament title in school annals.
Lehigh’s 15 votes places the Mountain Hawks 35th in the Mid-Major poll, which is comprised of schools from the following conferences: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Great West, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt and West Coast.
Lehigh finished the 2009-10 season with an overall record of 22-10 and met Big 12 champion and number-one overall seed Kansas in the 2010 NCAA Tournament. The Mountain Hawks won ten Patriot League games this past season, just one off the school record, and their 15 victories inside of Stabler Arena are the most in the history of the building.
