Lehigh garners four league honorable mentions

Horn improved on his time in the 400 meter hurdles last weekend after running an IC4A qualifying time in the event the previous weekend at Bucknell. Horn ran a race-winning time of 53.69, which was 0.24 of a second faster than the previous week.
Roth broke her own program record in the pole vault when she cleared 11’1¾” on Saturday. Her previous record was 10’11¾” set in 2005. Roth also set the Mountain Hawks’ indoor pole vault record this season when she cleared 11’3¾” at the Patriot League Championships.
Alejandro placed third in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:16.71. She was the only athlete not from The College of New Jersey to place in the top four.
Burgess won the men’s 5000 meter run in a time of 15:29.85, which was almost two seconds faster than second place. Burgess’ win allowed the Mountain Hawks to have the top runner in the 800, 1500 and 5000 meter runs.
Lehigh’s men’s and women’s track and field teams will have a busy end of the week as the Mountain Hawks will compete in the elite Penn Relays in Philadelphia on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and then will also host the Lehigh Games on Saturday on the Goodman Campus. The Lehigh Games are scheduled to start at 11:00 am with the field events. Running events are scheduled to begin at noon.
