Johnson and Grimm receive PL honorable mention

Johnson, who was selected at the Patriot League’s Male Field Performer of the Week on December 12, won both the long and triple jump on his final attempt to become the only multiple event winner for the Mountain Hawk men on Saturday. Johnson leapt 6.87m in the long jump and then 13.97m in the triple. The
Grimm won the 3000m run, finishing the race in a time of 10:37.52. Her time was 13 seconds faster than second place finisher, Lafayette’e Kerry Taylor. Grimm also competed in the mile, placing third in a time of 5:21.17.
The Mountain Hawks return to action this weekend when they host the Lehigh Multi-Event on Friday and Saturday and the John Covert Lehigh Classic on Saturday. The Lehigh Multi-Event begins at 5:00 pm on Friday evening and resumes at 9:00 am on Saturday morning. The John Covert Lehigh Classic begins at noon with the field events, while the track events are scheduled to start at 1:00 pm.
